Just like the older age groups in the Hungarian Youth Development program the U16 team’s program for the upcoming season is set as well. The schedule for this season has changed a bit from the past seasons.

The players born in 2003 will have an opportunity to play in Italy, Sweden and Austria. The season will start off with a regional camp August 22nd through the 24th in Budapest. This will be a kind of select camp where just over 60 players from all over Hungary will be taking part in. The players will be split into four teams each team will play six games in total, two each day. The coaching staff will be scouting evaluating the players during the three days.

The first tournament that they will take part in will be during the November international break when the team will travel to Italy for a 4 Nations Tournament where they will be taking on Austria and Slovenia along with the host nation.

In December the team will have a chance to taste Scandinavian hockey where they will be taking part in the Daniel & Henrik MODO Cup in Sweden, this is a ten team tournament that has some of the top U16 teams from Sweden participating in it.

During the February international break Hungary will be playing on home ice in Győr where they will be playing exhibition games against Italy and Ukraine. With the season finishing up in April as Hungary will take on Austria, Slovenia and Italy.
