Hungarian Hockey to celebrate 90th anniversary on September 30th

Hungarian Hockey is celebrating its 90th anniversary, in honor of this jubilee there will be an event hosted on September 30th in the László Papp Budapest Sports Arena where Hungary men’s and women’s senior teams will be taking on their Polish counterparts, along with the Finnish old boys team as well.

The 90th anniversary celebrations have included the national teams of Sweden, Finland and Slovenia visiting Hungary in the spring. The celebration continues but this time in the Sports Arena instead of the Tüskecsarnok.

On September 30th the Hungarian and Polish women’s national teams will go up against each other at 12:00, with the old boys taking on Finland in the afternoon. The day will close with Hungary taking on Poland in an exhibition game.

The day will contain a number of interesting programs for the entire family, which will include food trucks, exhibitions, games and a number of other interesting shows as well.

The morning will belong to the kids as a U8 tournament will take place, at noon the ladies will be playing. Both events are free to the public. The old boys match and the Hungary-Poland game will be solid in a combo package.

The old boys match will be the 2008 Hungarian Division 1 World Championship team from Sapporo, taking on the 1995 World Champion Finnish team

There are three family sectors where kids under the age of 14 will have a flat entry fee of 1000 HUF.
