After a long day of travel the Hungarian men's national team finally got to hit the ice after they went to the arena straight from the airport to the rink.
The national team arrived to the rink and soon after hit the ice for practice at 8 pm. Both the coaching staff and the players were how fresh their legs were surprised after the long trip. During the session the team worked on simple man advantages and two man advantages. Because of the early game on Thursday this was the last practice before the first game.
Rich Chernomaz, Head coach: I really thought everyone would have really heavy legs and surprisingly we did not. This let us get in a nice practice, during the trip I was paying attention to the guys resting on the trip. We really accomplished a lot during the last couple of days, now we will see if we can execute.
Péter Vincze, Forward: Everyone could feel the lack of rest but the practice was nice and crisp, the passes were good. Now we are ready to sleep and get a good night's rest.
Benjámin Nemes, Forward: Today's practice was really all about getting our legs ready and skating, I was really surprised about how fresh, and how well the legs moved for us, I think this was good. Now we are track for our usually pregame routines.
